The first thing to do is get in touch to arrange a tour of the nursery. Once you have seen the nursery and are happy to proceed, we will need you to complete the necessary paperwork. There is an administration fee of £150 and an acceptance deposit of £750 to secure your child's place.
Of course. We recommend at least a minimum of one settling-in session to ensure a smooth transition into the nursery. During the setting-in sessions, your child will be able to get familiar with the nursery surroundings and meet our staff and other children. If you or we feel that your child needs further settling-in sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the nursery, this will be agreed with both the parents and the nursery.
We only accept a minimum of 3 full days which must include a Monday or a Friday.
Cancelling more than three months prior to starting: We will refund your £750 acceptance deposit if you cancel your child’s place more than three calendar months ahead of your child starting nursery with us. Your £150 admin fee will remain non-refundable.
Cancelling less than three months prior to starting: We ask that you inform us as soon as possible. We will not be able to refund either your £750 acceptance deposit or your £150 admin fee, and you will be liable for any fees over and above the value of the £750 acceptance fees, that are payable during the three months’ notice period.
Serving notice once your child has started at Wood Wharf Kindergarten: We require three months’ notice, which means that your contract with the nursery will not end until three calendar months after the day on which you contact us to cancel your child’s place. You will be responsible for paying the fees during that time. All outstanding fees remaining will need to be paid in full.
We offer a discount if you have two or more siblings in nursery at the same time (10%). The discount is applied to the child with fewer sessions, or to the oldest child if they have an equal number of sessions.
Fees include all meals, snacks, formula for infants, nappies and trips.
We issue invoices mid-month for the following month.
Unfortunately, there can be no refunds for sickness or holidays.
Fees are calculated based on the 51 weeks of the year that Wood Wharf Kindergarten is open, averaged into 12 monthly payments i.e. each invoice is for 4.25 weeks. Monthly payments will include bank and public holidays as well as inset days, which are payable in full in spite of closure, as our monthly staffing costs remain the same.
Wood Wharf Kindergarten is open from 7am - 7pm. We're open from Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, excluding bank holidays and inset days. The nursery closes for one week between Christmas and New Year.
Places are offered on the basis of the following order of priority:
- A child with a sibling already at the nursery
- Full time place requests
- The date of waiting list registration
In cases of healthcare or childcare emergencies we can offer up to a maximum of three emergency day swaps per year, subject to availability. An agreed emergency day swap is to be used in the same calendar month as the absence. Bank holidays and nursery closures are exempt.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate plan swaps between families or between siblings.
